Matariki Morning Brew Up

Matariki Morning Brew Up

Hosted once again by our valued sponsor JLL at their Auckland premises on Level 16 of the HSBC building in Commercial Bay, we invite you to celebrate and acknowledge Matariki alongside our awesome members and CoreNet Global NZ community.

Speaker : Kapotai Marino, Pou Whirinaki, Ignite Architects

We are delighted to welcome Kapotai Marino, Architectural graduate and Pou Whirinaki at Ignite who will be sharing his insights on the importance of Matariki and its significance to Aotearoa. Covering its scientific & historical background, origins, and its importance both inside and outside the workplace, this will be a session not to be missed.

In addition to his Architectural work Kapotai is a Māori practitioner, who looks to integrate Te ao Māori and Mātauranga Māori into projects. Always aiming to be kaitiaki of people and place, fostering manākitanga to create architectural outcomes that intricately overlay the whakapapa of past, present, and future. He strongly believes this approach thrives through partnerships and collaboration among all partners on a project.‍

“Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini."

My success is not mine alone, but it is the strength of many.

As we gather to commemorate Matariki, Kapotai will also look to explore how its themes can foster a cohesive, motivated, and reflective workforce and how its principles can enrich both our personal and professional lives, fostering community, reflection, and celebration.

We look forward to seeing you there!
